Good morning, McCallum HS families, 

Due to the bad weather days in January 2026, we are extending the school day for our final exam days (May 22–28) to comply with the state-required operational minutes per year. 

Originally, each final exam day would start at 9:05 a.m. and conclude at 1:05 p.m. The day will now end at 1:13 p.m. 

While we typically build in buffers for instructional minutes into our calendars, new legislation (SB 12) required that we convert two days that counted toward operational minutes into parent-teacher conference days. With the additional two days of winter weather cancellations, we have now dipped below the required minutes for the year.
