McCallum Trustee Award Knight 

McCallum Trustee Award Knight is an annual presentation in May celebrating the academic achievements and exemplary character of our outstanding students.

Description of Awards

AISD Trustee Award 

The recipients must be scholastically within the top ten percent of their class group based on either their cumulative grade point average (GPA) or their rank GPA at the end of the first three reporting periods for the school year. The GPA calculations for this award use current school year grades only.

AISD Recognized Scholar Award 

This award recognizes special education students for their academic achievement and citizenship. The recipients must be scholastically within the top ten percent of their class group based on either their cumulative grade point average (GPA) or their rank GPA at the end of the first three reporting periods for the school year.

AISD 4-Year Trustee Award 

The recipients of this award have received the Trustee Award throughout all four years of high school.

UIL Scholars

The UIL Scholar Award was created to recognize and honor students within the top 10% of their class participating in a UIL activity their senior year.

National Merit Finalists, Semi-Finalists & Commended Students

Becoming a National Merit Finalist is competitive and requires a top score on the PSAT during the junior year. Commended scholars represent the top 3-4% nation-wide and finalists represent the top 1% of all PSAT test-takers. 

Volunteer Service Award 

Recognized outstanding volunteer service and commitment to the community

Notable Knights 

These students have been identified by teachers as being kind to others, hardworking, a good sport and an all-around good citizen.  An additional requirement is that the student is passing classes with solid attendance.

Honorary Knights 

This award recognizes our foreign exchange students and their contributions to McCallum student life.

Career & Technology Pathway Award

Business Finance,, AV Cinematic Arts, Animation,Engineering Pathway, Journalism Pathway, Yearbook 

The recipients must be seniors that have taken 7 semesters of courses in the specified pathway/endorsement, and earning a minimum of a 90 or better in each semester.

AVID Excellence Award 

The recipients of this award must be in the AVID program. AVID teachers and administration voted on the top AVID students.    

AVID Good Human (Kindness & Character) Award 

Recognizes AVID students who demonstrate exceptional character and leadership.
