If your child is currently attending an Austin ISD school for school year 2024-2025:

Any student currently enrolled in AISD and planning to attend McCallum for the 2024-2025 school year must complete the following steps:

1. Complete registration. Go to Portal.austinisd.org/ and sign in to your Parent Portal Account. Once signed in, click on or search for the tile AISD Student Registration. Please see these instructions on how to create a Parent Portal Account and the Online Registration Guide for assistance with the online system. Make sure to select school year 2024-2025.
2. Complete online course selection. Go to the counseling page for information and instructions.
3. Submit the following documentation to the Registrar's Office. You can attach the documents while completing the online registration. Please upload and attach the documents listed below before submitting the online registration. You can also bring documents to the Registrar’s Office on school days, 8:30am-10:00am. Incomplete documentation will not be accepted.

• Proof of residence showing parent/guardian name (current electric, water or gas bill or current lease agreement)
• Parent/Guardian photo ID
• Custody documents, if applicable
• AISD approved transfer letter, if applicable. 

Online student data verification tip: 

• You CANNOT change your address online. You must submit new proof of residence (current electric, gas or water bill or current lease agreement) and Parent/Guardian Photo ID in order to update the address in our system.

If your child is NOT currently attending an Austin ISD school:

Students who are not currently enrolled in AISD must complete the following steps:

• Birth certificate
• Immunizations
• Withdrawal/Last Report Card/Transcript
• Social Security Card (optional)
• Parent/Guardian photo ID
• Most recent report card (if available)
• Custody documents, if applicable
• AISD approved transfer letter, if applicable.

Your student will not be enrolled until all 3 steps have been successfully completed and all documentation has been verified by the Registrar. Incomplete documentation will not be accepted.

International Students (NOT attending via a recognized foreign exchange program):

1. Complete registration. Go to Portal.austinisd.org/ and sign in to your Parent Portal Account. Once signed in, click on or search for the tile AISD Student Registration. Please see these instructions on how to create a Parent Portal Account and the Online Registration Guide for assistance with the online system. Make sure to select school year 2024-2025.

3. Submit the following documentation to the Registrar's Office. You can attach the documents while completing the online registration. Please upload and attach the documents listed below before submitting the online registration. You can also bring documents to the Registrar’s Office on school days, 8:30am-10:00am. Incomplete documentation will not be accepted.

• Proof of residence showing parent/guardian name (current electric, water or gas bill or current lease agreement)
• Birth certificate
• Immunizations
• Social Security Card (optional)
• Parent/guardian photo ID
• An official sealed copy of previous school records, including an official transcript or grade report, beginning from grade 7 to most recently completed grade. 
• Custody documents, if applicable
• AISD approved transfer letter, if applicable

Please note all grades will be converted using the AISD Grade Scale and transcribed according to AISD policy.

Foreign Exchange Students (attending via a recognized foreign exchange program)

1. Foreign exchange students must be cleared through the principal. Mr. Lancaster may meet with the Foreign Exchange Program Representative and host parent prior to approval for enrollment. Please bring a copy of the student’s profile.
2. Host family must obtain guardianship from AISD Office of Student Services, 512-414-2033, before submitting any documentation to the campus.
3. Complete online registration. Go to Austinisd.org/enroll and create or sign in to your Parent Portal Account. Once signed in, click on or search for the tile AISD Student Registration. Please see these  instructions on how to create a Parent Portal Account aand the Online Registration Guide for assistance with the online system. Make sure to select school year 2024-2025.
4. Complete  online course selection. Go to the counseling page for information and instructions.
5. Submit the following documentation to the Registrar's Office. You can attach the documents while completing the online registration. Please upload and attach the documents listed below before submitting the online registration. You can also bring documents to the Registrar’s Office on school days, 8:30am-10:00am. Incomplete documentation will not be accepted.

• Guardianship packet from District Office
• Proof of residence showing host parent name (current electric, water or gas bill or current lease agreement)
• Birth certificate or Passport of the exchange student
• Immunizations
• Host parent photo ID

Please note:

• Host families of Foreign Exchange Students also must have guardianship from the Office of Student Services.
•  A step-parent cannot enroll a student unless the step-parent has a notarized statement from the parent giving permission to act on the parent’s behalf or some other type of legal documentation giving them guardianship.
• If a parent/guardian and student are residing with another person at their home within McCallum attendance zone, they must provide a Declaration of Residence (DoR). These forms are accepted after August 1st for the next school year.
  • IMPORTANT: The DoR must be signed by both parties in front of a notary or in front of one of the Bowie Registrars. Both parties must provide a copy of their driver’s license and the proof of address must be in the homeowner or leasee’s name.

**Guardianship Information: Provide guardianship card at time of registration. Court Orders and CPS placements do not need a Guardianship.

If you are NOT the legal parent of the student you are attempting to enroll you will need to obtain:

• A notarized statement from the parent of the student awarding you educational guardianship.
• Utility bill (electric, water, gas bill) or lease agreement or most recent mortgage statement
• Student’s Birth Certificate
• Take the above documents to the AISD Central Office:
